H O M E

The cool b r e e z e in the daytime
combing through your hair, then
soft, silver stars twinkling against the
seemingly e n d l e s s pitch black sky.
Roses and orchids of pinks, purples, reds, and yellows
potted and perfectly placed against the green grass.
Take in the fresh smell of the flowers
with the sun warming your face.
Doves peek out to say hello,
dogs of all types bark behind fences,
cats roam free and strut down the street.
The chaotic sounds of life continuing around me,
cars starting, people talking,
while I have a life up in my head.
But in the end,
home is where we need to be
to feel complete.
