To you from me
No one can defy
That when I say this to you I feel glee
However, when your smile fades away
I am filled with a pain
My determination starts to sway
Your lovable joyous look is slain
From then on, I knew I lost you
The soft breathing of your voice is no longer mine
When I need someone to talk to I will just have to make-do
Gone, like waves on the coastline
It is the pain I have to mask
I never knew, though, how dubious a task
