Sleeping in Tears

Sleeping in Tears

by: -A

Sleeping in my tears
Sheets soaked with exasperation
Every turn rings out new emotions
Anger. Frustration

Sleeping in my tears
Cold yet comforting
Caressing my face
Only to leave and escape elsewhere

Sleeping in my tears
Wondering how I got here
The solution locked away
Never to be found

Sleeping in my tears
Things could change
But they’ll never be the same
Not after what came

We may move on
Become awkward strangers
But I could never forget these years
You made me sleep in my own tears
